A Medina man died after being struck by four different vehicles while walking along Route 31 in the Town of Shelby.
47-year-old Joseph Tillinghast was struck by the first vehicle early yesterday morning as he walked in the eastbound lane.
Deputies said Tillinghast was then struck by three more vehicles as he was lying in the highway.
Authorities noted the accident happened in an area where there are no street lights. The posted speed limit is 55 miles an hour.
No charges were placed against any of the drivers.

Police in Albion are trying to locate a man wanted on both criminal charges and for his own safety due to mental health issues.
Police are looking for 29-year-old Lucas Williams was last seen in the Beaver Street area of Albion.
Police said Williams is wanted in connection with incidents involving assault and criminal mischief.
He is described as a white male, brown hair, hazel eyes and last seen wearing a white jacket and blue sweat pants with the word, “Harlem” written on the leg.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Lucas Williams is asked to call Albion Police at (585)589-5627.

A convicted con-artist has admitted to attempting to lean on Western New York Congresswoman Kathy Hochul to have his case dismissed.  James Lagona has admitted he offered to lend his influence as a religious leader to Hochul's campaign in exchange for having her husband, U.S. Attorney William Hochul Jr., dismiss fraud charges against him.  Hochul's campaign ultimately called the FBI, who arrested Lagona.  Lagona faces 20 years behind bars for his role in a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme, along with an additional ten years for his discussions with Hochul's campaign.

The Air National Guard unit based in Niagara Falls will soon be directing unmanned drones all around the world.  Lawmakers in Washington have finalized a defense bill that calls for the Guard's 107th Airlift Wing to ultimately fly remotely piloted aircrafts for missions around the globe.  The unit may also get to keep some of the four C-130 cargo planes Air Force officials had initially said would be sent to a different base.

Governor Andrew Cuomo gives himself high marks in his two-year progress report.  The new report says Cuomo has balanced the state budget two years in a row and has brought long-term stability to state finances.  The governor also gives himself credit for bettering New York's education system and pushing the ultimate passage of the Marriage Equality Act.
