A Webster man has pleaded guilty to an 11-count indictment detailing his stealing of more than $200,000 in sales tax.
Anthony Caricati, 41, is a business owner in Chili. He also pleaded guilty to filing false sales tax returns to hide his larncies.
From the beginning of 2005 to 2011, Caricati collected sales tax on almost $3 million worth of sales, but only reported sales worth $270,000, meaning he stole over $200,000 that belonged to the state.
He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 21.
