An Alexander man already facing charges for allegedly damaging the Johnny Bear Restaurant in Darien is facing one more.
Nathaniel Beglinger, 21, of Peaviner Road is accused of damaging the exterior of the restaurant with his pick-up truck on Dec. 1. The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office has charged him with criminal mischief reckless property damage over $250. Beglinger is already facing charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
He is scheduled to appear in Town of Darien Court on Jan. 17.
A Batavia woman is facing harassment and endangering the welfare of a child charges.
Jessica Polk, 36, of Bank Street allegedly pushed and grabbed a child during a domestic incident. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released on her own recognizance. Polk is set to appear in court again at a later date.
A Batavia man with a previous conviction for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon was allegedly found in possession of a switchblade knife.
The Genesee County Probation Department found the weapon during a search of 41-year-old Edward Freida’s home on Tracy Avenue. The past conviction elevates this charge to the third-degree.
Following his arraignment, Freida was remanded to Genesee County Jail without bail.
A Batavia man has been jailed on $50,000 bail for a string of charges during incidents on Sunday morning.
36-year-old Maurice Leach of State Street allegedly punched a woman during a domestic incident. Then while officers were investigating, Leach became combative and resisted arrest. Once taken into custody at BPD headquarters, Leach urinated and defacated on the holding room floor.
He is facing charges of menacing, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and criminal tampering.
A Wyoming County man has been charged after Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Castile yesterday.
A neighbor says 20-year-old Dakota Ribbeck choked her and pulled the phone out of the wall as she tried to call 911. He then armed himself with a machete with intent to use it on law enforcement, the report said.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office has charged Ribbeck with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, and harassment. Following his arraignment, Ribbeck was remanded to County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
An Oakfield man is facing several charges following an alleged domestic dispute.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Thomas Hofer of South Pearl Street was arrested in the Town of Batavia on charges of coercion, two counts of criminal mischief for disabling a phone to prevent a 911 call, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and trespass.
Hofer was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
