An investigation is underway after children and animals were found living in squalid conditions in the town of Clarence.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says four children between the ages of 7 and 15 were living in deplorable conditions inside a home on Goodrich Road.
Officials say a variety of animals were also found on the property, including pigs, horses and a dog. Town code enforcement officers are participating in the investigation with sheriff's deputies.
