A 19-year-old Albion man is accused of robbing the Yellow Goose convenience store on North Main Street in the Village of Albion Wednesday.

Orlando Hernandez is facing a felony charge of third-degree robbery as well as menacing, and petit larceny. Hernandez allegedly entered the store with a bandana covering his face and demanded money from the cash register while intimating he possessed a hand gun.

Using the recent snowfall to track his whereabouts, Albion police -- with assistance from New York State Police and the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office -- located Hernandez hiding in a closet of a nearby apartment.
