New York's health chief is promising to release the findings of his fracking review within the next few weeks.
Health Commissioner Nirav Shah has been tight-lipped on the findings of his analysis which began in September at the request of the Department of Environmental Conservation. During a legislative budget hearing on public health and Medicaid spending on Wednesday, Shah said he wanted to allow the experts time to make their recommendations without outside influence.
The state has until February 27th to finalize its drilling rules or else they will expire.
