The Batavia City School District is letting students out about an hour and 15 minutes early from school today as it executes an emergency go-home drill.
To comply with New York State’s school safety plan requirements, all students from pre-K to grade 12 will be released between 12:45 this afternoon and 1:30.
Afterschool and evening activities will not be affected. Faculty and staff will remain at work to attend a presentation required of the state education department. The district asks parents to “discuss and implement plans” for their children.
