If you are wondering where all the snow is, don’t worry, it’s just not here yet.
The snow is gradually moving into Western New York from Lakes Erie and Ontario.
Officially, we are under a Winter Storm Warning for all of Western New York until 5 o’clock tomorrow morning.
The National Weather Service is predicting average snowfall of 4 to 7 inches today with another 3 to 6 inches by tonight.
The threat of snow has closed one local school district:
Attica Central has closed for today, that is the only school closing we have received.
There has been just one cancellation:
The Batavia Agri-Business Child Care Center is closed for today.
An Oakfield woman is under arrested for allegedly ripping off a home last Father’s Day weekend.
Deputies say 42-year-old Penny Sue Sprague entered a home on Knowlesville Road in the Town of Alabama and stole electronics, jewelry and other items. She has been charged with a felony count of Burglary and released under supervision.
The Seneca Nation is seeking rights to a casino in downtown Rochester in the negotiations over the $572-million it owes the state and three cities.
The Senecas have withheld the casino money from the state and the cities of Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Salamanca, claiming the state violated their compact.
The Senecas also are seeking to have the state penalized for allowing gambling at Western New York racetracks including Batavia Downs.
They also want the smoking room closed at the Downs.
A 51-year-old woman has been arrested on charges accusing her of selling prescription drugs illegally in Albion and Holley. Police say Diana Paone was taken into custody by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Squad after a long investigation. She is accused of selling the narcotics oxycodone, hydrocodone and hydromorphine. Paone is facing various drug charges and is being held on 25-thousand-dollars. Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
