Former gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino will participate at today's anti-gun control rally at the state Capitol.
The Buffalo businessman is joining a number of Republican lawmakers to speak out against the recently-enacted gun control legislation in the state. Paladino has threatened to work against GOP lawmakers who voted for the bill and try to get them out of office.
Simultaneously, a group called One Million Moms for Gun Control is also rallying at the Capitol today. Jenny Lando with One Million Moms For Gun Control says she doesn't think the new gun laws violate the second amendments.
“We also are concerned at the type of weapons available," she said. "We’re not interested in having weapons designed for the war arena in public hands.”
The group says it wants to thank lawmakers for implementing tougher gun laws and hopes New York will be the model for America.
