Two inmates are facing promoting prison contraband charges from when they were housed at local prisons.
Lionel Valenzuela, 46, – currently serving time for second-degree murder out of the Bronx – was arrested for allegedly smuggling oxycodone through U.S. mail while at Attica Correctional Facility last year. He is also charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Also, Dante Brannigan, 26, is accused of possessing an edged metal weapon and a bag of synthetic marijuana while housed at Wyoming Correctional Facility. He is charged additionally with criminal possession of a weapon. Brannigan is currently housed at Orleans Correctional Facility and is serving a sentence for criminal sale of a controlled substance out of New York County.
Both inmates were arraigned in Wyoming County Court and will return to court at a later date.

A Virginia woman is facing charges for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars and a car from an elderly Warsaw man and escaping to Virginia.
Treva Wright, 75, of Roanoke, is charged with a felony count of third-degree grand larceny. State Police says between May and June of 2011 Wright was involved in scamming money and a motor vehicle from a now-deceased Warsaw man, profiting in more than $17,000.
Wright was arrested in July of last and has fought extradition to New York to answer the charges, but was finally returned to the state today on a Governor’s Warrant by Deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
Wright was remanded to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail and is due in court at a later date.
