You can expect to see more movie cameras around Western New York under legislation introduced in Albany.
The Buffalo News reports state Senator Patrick Gallivan has proposed bills to raise the 30 percent film production tax credit for movies made upstate to help put the costs on par with shooting in New York City.
Under the legislation, Western New York's rate would rise to 45 percent, which is the difference in costs between shooting in Buffalo versus Staten Island.
