A Wind Advisory posted for Genesee and Orleans Counties from 1 this afternoon until 4 tomorrow morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for the southern tier counties calling for a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow in Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties.

The government of Canada is hinting at tighter restrictions on milk imports.
The news is unsettling at Batavia’s O-AT-KA Milk products where Canadian markets are seen as key to sales growth.
U.S. Senator Charles Schumer came to O-AT-KA yesterday.
He said success of O-AT-KA’s $16-million expansion could be thwarted by a change in Canadian trade policy:
“When a company like O-AT-KA makes the business decision to expand like this, they’re counting on having access to markets outside our own, and one of them is Canada. Rolling back trade access could rip the rug right out from under O-AT-KA’s grand plans.”
O-AT-Ka’s Canadian business represents only about 5-percent of the company’s sales but it is seen as a key growth market for the local company.

A GCC student has been arrested for allegedly having another student’s ID and using it to make purchases at the school.
20-year-old Franchesca Borrome of Harvester Avenue has been charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and jailed in lieu of 2-thosuand dollars bail.

Officials are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man in custody of Jamestown Police over the weekend.  Police say former Buffalo resident Charles Baker Jr. began fighting with officers after he apparently dropped bags of cocaine in a patrol car and police garage.  An officer shot Baker with a Taser, and not long afterwards police say he began having a seizure, and died a short time later at the hospital.
