“When a company like O-AT-KA makes the business decision to expand like this, they’re counting on having access to markets outside our own, and one of them is Canada. Rolling back trade access could rip the rug right out from under O-AT-KA’s grand plans.”
O-AT-Ka’s Canadian business represents only about 5-percent of the company’s sales but it is seen as a key growth market for the local company.

Officials are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man in custody of Jamestown Police over the weekend. Police say former Buffalo resident Charles Baker Jr. began fighting with officers after he apparently dropped bags of cocaine in a patrol car and police garage. An officer shot Baker with a Taser, and not long afterwards police say he began having a seizure, and died a short time later at the hospital.
