The first New York man to be arrested for violating the state's controversial new gun legislation has hired a Buffalo law firm to defend him.
Thirty-three-old Benjamin Wassell is charged with selling two semi-automatic weapons, which are banned under the SAFE Act. Wassell's buyers were undercover state policemen, one of whom posed as a convicted felon.
Wassell has hired the law firm Lipsitz Green Scime and Cambria in Buffalo to handle his defense in court.
