Two Genesee County convenience stores targeted by smash and dash thieves.
The West Main Mini-mart in the Town of Batavia and the Raceway Mini-market in the city were burglarized late last night.
The glass doors of both stores were smashed, the cash registers were taken and cigarettes were stolen.
From the Raceway Mini-mart, Batavia Police said 29 cartons of smokes were taken.
The West Main store was hit just before 11 last night while the store in the city was hit a half-hour later.

A third convenience store was similarly burglarized in the town of Clarence at 12:30 this morning.

Police are following up on several leads but are asking for the public’s assistance with any additional information.
