A water main break this morning on State St.
It happened around 3:30 this morning.
State Street from Douglas to Denio is closed to traffic while repairs are being made.
Water service is affected on State between Denio and Hart.
The repairs are expected to take several hours.
The budget vote is in for the Richmond Memorial Library.
The budget was approved 257 to 49.
Jennifer Reardon was elected to the library’s board of trustees.
Fewer people will be at their place of employment today, but they will be working.
Some 400 people are signed up to participate in today’s United Way Day of caring.
Teams will fan out across the county to work on various projects for non-profit agencies.
A Town of Batavia sex offender has been arrested again.
44-year-old Patrick Hackett of West Main Rd. has been charged with 3rd degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies say Hackett, a level 2 sex offender, allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor in the town of Batavia.
Hackett is now in county jail, being held without bail.
State Senate Republicans are trying to protect the Seneca Nation's investment in three Western New York casinos.
The GOP lawmakers are calling for the state's casino plan to move forward without any non-Indian casinos in the western part of the state.
The Seneca’s have withheld hundreds of millions of dollars in payments to the state and local governments in a dispute over the placement of slot machines at area racetracks inclusing Batavia Downs.
