Batavia Police and Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies getting a workout today, to benefit the ARC.
Officers participated in a torch run from Elba to Batavia this morning. Proceeds from the run will benefit Genesee ARC individuals as they compete in the Special Olympics.
Batavia Police Detective Todd Crossett and ARC Vocational Director Beth Hopkins worked together to stage today’s 6th Annual torch run.

Hopkins says the ARC’s individuals are very grateful for the police officers’ involvement.

Cindy Kling began the run in Elba this morning, handing the torch to officers. They later handed off to Curtis Johnson in Batavia, who finished the final leg of the run.
