Batavia City Council met in regular session last night and by a vote of 7 to 1 approved new rules for renting city park pavilions. First residents must complete a permit application for “screening purposes” and also pay a 25 dollar fee. Ward 6 councilwoman Rosemary Christian was the only “no” vote. Christian said she did not like the age restriction of 21 plus to rent a pavilion. City of Batavia parks open tomorrow and will remain open through October first. Daily hours are 7an to dusk. We have posted the full rules and procedures on our website WBTAi.com.
