A Batavia Wal-Mart shopper remains in the Genesee County Jail this afternoon for allegedly slamming his 7-year-old son to the floor of the store.
28-year-old Christopher Cummings of Warsaw was arrested last night on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
Shoppers at Wal-Mart told police they heard Cummings shouting at the boy, then saw him pick the boy up over his head and throw him to the floor.
State Troopers used surveillance video and released a photo of the suspect to WBTA News partner The Batavian.
From that post, Cummings was identified and arrested.
He later admitted to police that he needs help for his anger management problem. The boy was examined at UMMC and determined to be to be uninjured.
Cummings was sent to the Genesee county Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.

And what kind of "man" would even think about causing harm to a child, especially his own flesh and blood. How about a followup story on this guy? I bet his wife isn't unharmed either. Violence begets violence. I hope it's nipped in the bud.
