The larger of the two Yogurt manufacturing plants in the Town of Batavia officially opens today.
Muller-Quaker Dairy shows off its brand new 350,000 sq.ft. facility.
U.S. Senator Charles Schumer is expected to be on hand.
The facility is expected to employ up 180 people when fully operational.
Muller is a German dairy company. Quaker is a subsidiary of Pepsico.
The plant is located in the Genesee County Agri-business Park on Route 5.
The smaller Columbia owned Alpina plant has begun some production.
Today's ceremony, scheduled for 1 p.m. is closed to the public.
