Police are continuing their hunt for a suspect in a State Street burglary.
Someone broke into an apartment at 142 State Street yesterday afternoon and took off with a X-Box Video Game system.
The woman who lived in the apartment, identified only as "Angela" surprised the entruder when she returned home from walking her dog. The suspect then fled.
At times yesterday lawmen from three police agencies along with the State Police helicopter were pressed into the search for the suspect.
A Florida man was living in Batavia for only two days when authorities say he molested an 11-year-old girl.
Robert Wright of Clifton Avenue had just moved to Batavia last month when police say he forcibly touched the girl on at least two occasions.
Wright is being held without bail in the county jail. He also has a criminal record in Florida.
A Wyoming County man could get 20 years in Federal prison for possessing child pornography.
51-year-old Patrick Roney of Warsaw admitted in Federal Court that his computer contained more than 600 images of child porn. Some of those pictures, authorities said, were of children under 12.
Roney will be sentenced in September.
