A Town of Darien woman who suffered severe injuries in a bus collision last week, has died.
81-year-old Frances McClellan died at the Erie County Medical Center where she had been taken following the accident on Wednesday.
Police said Mrs. McClelland pulled into the path of a 16-pqassenger bus on Tinkham Road.
A second suspect has now been arrested in connection with the theft of a Big Screen TV from Batavia’s K-mart.
He is 51-year-old Stephen Miles of North St., Albion. He was charged with petit larceny and jailed in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Lawmen previously collared 52-year-old David Martin of Medina in the same case.
Authorities said the two boosted the 46-inch TV, loaded it into a pick-up and took off.
The City of Batavia Fire Department will be flushing fire hydrants on Monday August 12, 2013, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the general area south of East Main Street and east of Jackson Street.
Homes and businesses nearby will be affected. These tests may result in a temporary discoloration of water in that area.
A note for residents of Tracy Avenue and Summit Street :
Water will be shut off this Monday, August 12th as two water valves are replaced. The work could take up to four hours.
The affected area includes Tracy Avenue including North Street between Bank and Ross and Summit Street North of Ellsworth and Seneca. The work is expected to begin Monday at 9 a.m.
Jim Furyk leads the 95th PGA Championship at Oak Hill by one stroke heading into Sunday's final round. He was minus-two in round three on Saturday to move to nine-under for the tournament. Jason Dufner finished his round one-over after carding a seven-under on Friday. Swedes Henrik Stenson and Jonas Blixt are minus-seven and minus-six respectively. Tiger Woods ended his round at three-over and is plus-four for the tournament. Phil Mickelson struggled to an eight-over on Saturday and is plus-10 overall.
