Just because you don’t agree with it, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enforce it.

That’s Governor Cuomo’s message to law enforcement regarding New York’s gun control law, the SAFE Act. The governor told reporters Wednesday “It’s not really up to law enforcement to pick and choose what laws they like and what laws they don’t like.”

The state Sheriff’s Association has voiced its opposition to the law that was initiated in January. It contends the law – which limits magazines to seven rounds and bans assault-style weapons -- is unconstitutional. Some sheriffs have expressed their trepidation in enforcing the law.

This is the first time I have ever agreed with Cuomo.
Mr. Cuomo, please enforce the law of the land as stipulated in the Bill of Rights. Your job should not be to selectively pick and choose which portions of it you agree and disagree with.

So....Cuomo didnt follow the law with the 3 day waiting period to pass legislation in NY and now lectures about how we all need to follow the law? Interesting...
