The Batavia City Council will be asked tonight to approve 30-thousand to pave a parking lot at Center and School Streets.
That’s the same lot where council rejected a city hall plan to build a 35-thosuand dollar dumpster enclosure.
The council meets at 7 tonight.
Anyone wishing to address the council should first sign in with the city clerk.
Quick work by volunteer firemen contained a house fire in Pavilion.
LeRoy and Pavilion firemen responded to the call just before 8 last night.
Volunteers managed to limit damage to one corner of the home.
No one was hurt.
The house at 6908 East Bethany-LeRoy Road is owned by Peter Paliani.

24-year-old Kyle Kirtley of Central Square, NY: Batavia Police have charged Kirtley with Assault for allegedly punching out another person during a fight in a South Main Street apartment.
Kirtley allegedly punched the other person in the head..and did it several times.
26-year-old Dale Hollwedel of Francis Road, Batavia: he has been charged with DWI and failing to take a breath test.
Batavia Police say they they acted on a tip from a McDonald’s drive-thru clerk.
24-year-old Kimberly Volk of Liberty Street: she was arrested for Petit Larceny. Batavia Police say Kimberly boosted merchandise from Tops.
The City of Batavia fire department will be flushing hydrants today.
They will be working from 9 until 3 in the general area south of West main Street and West of Jackson.
