New York State has notoriously high property taxes and Governor Cuomo calls them a “scourge all across the state.”
In a conference this morning, the governor introduced his new tax-cutting commission saying its first duty will be addressing sky-high property taxes in the Empire State.
New York City and some upstate counties pay the highest property taxes in comparison to home values in the nation.
The panel will be headed by former governor George Pataki.
