A power brown out may have caused the electrical problem that filled the Batavia Animal Hospital with smoke this morning.
The staff evacuated the facility leading their four-legged patients to safety.
“We had a piece of equipment fail on us,” National Grid representative Steve Brady said, “on an overhead circuit that actually caused two problems. To effect the repairs, we had to completely cut power to roughly 1,300 customers.”
Brady says everything was restored around 10 this morning and the power company is still doing some checks to make sure everything is holding.
