22-year-old Nathan Hulme of Dutton Road, Warsaw, is facing felony counts of tampering with evidence and reckless endangerment.
Authorities say Hulme led police on a high speed chase Tuesday that started in Warsaw and continued through most of Wyoming County.

Creatures great and small were safely led from Batavia Animal Hospital when smoke suddenly filled the facility.
Volunteer firemen responded to the call of smoke around 8:15 yesterday morning.
There was an electrical brown out in the area caused by some trees coming into contact with power lines.
Officials speculated the brown out may have caused an electrical malfunction in the animal hospital that triggered the smoke.

Qualified Veterans in New York State can now have the option of listing their status as a veteran on their licenses.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that all honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. armed forces who apply can have the designation listed on the official document.
Cuomo says it will make it easier for veterans to receive benefits to which they’re entitled as well a showing pride in having honorably served our country.

A new study from the University at Buffalo shows that babies born as little as a week early face increased risks of medical problems.  The study analyzed a thousand births at Erie County Medical Center, and determined that the risks of medical issues are far greater for early birth children.  The study also shows that births by cesarean section also increases the risk of medical problems.
