Is Batavia’s 150 year old police station beyond its reasonable life expectancy?
City Police Chief Shawn Heubusch says there are design issues in the building that actually hampers law enforcement.
City management wants to hire a Connecticut based consultant analyze the police station and help lawmakers decide if the building can be renovated, or consider new construction or revisit the idea of a few years ago and move the City P-D into the Sheriff’s Office.

Tickets for second and third round games of the NCAA men's basketball tournament go on sale this weekend in Buffalo.
Tickets for all three sessions being played at First Niagara Center will cost $198 and 252-dollars before fees.
The Buffalo area proved it could support the tournament in 2010, when the city had the highest attendance of all cities that hosted first and second round games that year.
Ticket sales begin at ten a.m. Saturday.
