Batavia City Councilman Bill Cox will apparently switch political parties.
Cox wrote to City Republican Committee chairman Joe Gerace on Friday. He says he will switch to the Conservative Party.
Cox says Batavia’s Republicans have no platform and do not stand for anything.
Cox says he believes the direction of the United States can be changed, beginning on the local level. But he says Batavia’s Republicans are “not doing anything significant to help turn things around.”
Bill Cox has been a member of the Republican Party for 47 years prior to this change in affiliation.
