GO ART! wants to give its nearly 200-year-old building some upgrades and a new grant it received will be key in accomplishing that.
“The grant is from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo,” Executive Director Kelly Kiebala said. “It’s a competitive grant process that we applied for and we were thankfully awarded a grant for $14,500. It’s primary toward exterior signage and lighting and some electrical work to be done, in essence, to enhance the visibility of the building here at 201 East Main Street.”
Seymour Place is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The project implementation is expected to be completed by June 2014.
GO ART! has been at the address since 2002, which started at the Bank of the Genesee in 1831.
