All Batavia schools will be open tomorrow, according to Superintendent Chris Dailey.
John Kennedy Intermediate was closed for the second straight day Thursday as the district addresses power issues with the building.
Dailey told WBTA Wednesday that there was an issue in the boiler room where a pressure valve would not release. That caused flooding and forced power to be shut off to the building. Jackson Primary was closed yesterday with the same power issues, but reopened today.
The district has announced a public hearing will be held this Tuesday prior to the start of the regular meeting of the board of education at 7. It’s to discuss expending funds from the Repair Reserve to replace and repair equipment in boiler room at John Kennedy’s building. It takes place in the District Administration Conference Room No. 49 at the high school at 260 State Street.
