For the first time in several days, Genesee County is under no weather warnings, watches or advisories.
The forecast for today is calling for a 40-percent chance of snow showers, with high’s in the low to mid 20’s but no significant snow accumulation.
Wyoming County, you are under a Lake Effect Snow Advisory from Noon Sunday to 4pm Monday. A total of 4 to 8 inches of snow can fall on you.
DaShawn Butler is behind bars.
The 34-year-old Butler had been wanted in connection with a shooting on State Street in Batavia last fall.
Police said Butler fired a handgun at another person outside of a State Street home on September 27.
Police had been searching for Butler since the incident and after a tip from the public, he was found, along with 31-year-old Harvey Lockhart, who was wanted for violation of parole.
They were taken into custody without incident.
Butler was charged with Felony charges of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of menacing.
He was arraigned in City Court and remanded to Genesee County Jail where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
Traffic changes could be coming to Main Street in LeRoy.
The LeRoy Business Council is holding a meeting tomorrow night at 5:30 at the Town Hall with a Department of Transportation representative to discuss restriping Route 5.
