Unless you’re present at Ralph Wilson Stadium this Sunday, you will not be watching the Bills take on the Miami Dolphins.

Citing a brief email from Bills president and CEO Russ Brandon, the Buffalo News reports the Bills’ last home game will not be seen on local TV. It’s not official from the team at this time, but it does seem like a foregone conclusion. Fans are making a statement about a late-December game with the Bills already out of the playoffs for the 14th straight year and wrapping up a 9th straight losing season.

The Bills are the second team this season to be blacked out. A San Diego game against the Cincinnati Bengals was the other one.

The Bills have come close a couple of other times this season to having the game blacked out locally. They were granted extensions from the League and two times owner Ralph Wilson Jr. came in and swooped up the extra tickets.

The deadline for a blackout is 72 hours before the game. The Bills apparently have 16,000 unsold tickets. Buffalo is 5-9 entering Sunday’s game.
