When United Memorial Medical Center opened the outpatient Cancer and Infusion Center, in association with Rochester General Lipson Cancer Center, Medical Oncology and Medical Oncology/Hematology were added to the list of medical specialties available to residents of the Genesee County region, close to home.
Two Medical Oncologists have joined the United Memorial Medical Center Medical Staff; Julia Smith, MD and Zachary Kramer, MD.
Julia L. Smith, MD earned her Medical Doctorate at New York Medical College in New York City and completed her residency in medicine at Rochester General Hospital. She is an Attending Physician in Rochester General’s Department of Medicine, and an Adjunct Staff Member of Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s Department of Medicine. A member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Clinical Oncology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, she has been practicing for 31 years.
Zachary B. Kramer, MD earned his Medical Doctorate at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He subsequently completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University Rochester Medical Center’s Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kramer is an Attending Physician in Rochester General’s Department of Medicine, and an Adjunct Staff member of Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s Department of Medicine. He has been practicing for 25 years with particular clinical interest and expertise in malignancies in adults.
