A former aide at the Genesee County Nursing Home is accused of injuring a 100 year old woman at the home last year.
The State Attorney General’s Office says 25-year-old Sarah Waclawski of Batavia caused injury to the woman and then failed to get her medical care.
The AG’s office said Waclawski moved the woman from her bed to a wheelchair without help from another staffer, which is required by procedure. Somehow, the woman fell to floor and hit her head causing her to bleed.
Waclawski has been charged with endangering the welfare of a disabled person, a felony. She has pleaded not guilty.
The State Health Department also investigated and cleared the nursing home itself of any wrong doing.
