The Livingston County Sheriff's Office has announced a travel advisory for the county this afternoon. From the office:
Snow covered roadways and continued snowfall have caused hazardous travel conditions. There have been numerous motor vehicle accidents and vehicles off the roadway throughout the morning hours. Snow removal is in effect however we ask that if you don't have to travel please consider staying home.
This warning will remain in effect until further notice.
Across the region, one-inch-per-hour snow is expected to taper off at about 4 p.m. as we continue to get less snowfall into the evening, according to forecasters.
UPDATE: Orleans County has issued the same no unnecessary travel advisory.
