The body of a hiker has been found in Letchworth State Park.
The body was located in the Genesee River Gorge yesterday afternoon.
Park Police said they had received a call around 1:30 yesterday afternoon that a hiker was injured after falling into the gorge.
A Parks Police rope rescue team located the victim.
The victim’s name has not been released.
A Buffalo couple is facing charges accusing them of providing heroin that caused the deaths of two state prisoners at Attica.
Elizabeth Martinez and her husband, Attica inmate Andres Martinez, are accused of smuggling heroin and marijuana into the prison. Heroin linked to the pair has been traced to the deaths of two Attica inmates who died from overdoses in December.
The inmates apparently thought they were taking heroin when it was actually pure Fentanyl, a dangerous narcotic linked to many overdoses in recent months.
The snow has let up for the time being but the bitter cold has moved back in.

Travel conditions this morning are significantly improved after yesterday afternoon’s drive home.
Another 3 to 4 inches of fresh snow came down since last evening; main roads and most secondary roads have been plowed. Caution is advised against hidden patches of ice.
A committee of the Genesee County legislature has gone on record opposing a Seneca Nation casino in Henrietta.
The Ways and Means Committee of the full legislature voted unanimously Wednesday not to allow another Indian casino in Western New York.
Batavia legislator Marianne Clarttenberg says another nearby casino could hurt Batavia Downs
Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming Counties have approved similar measures opposing any new Indian casinos.
Also at the Ways and Means meeting, the committee approved a measure to deny the use of County insignia on any material concerning the SAFE Act.
The legislature formally called for the gun control law’s repeal a year ago. Now it has joined the chorus of other municipalities in not using the county or sheriff’s office seal or letterhead on any application for pistol permit recertification.
