A Board of Regents subcommittee has agreed to adopt a series of revisions in New York's roll out of Common Core at schools across the state.
The recommendations include tweaking the teacher evaluation process, by allowing educators to put up a defense if they are at risk of being fired.
Governor Cuomo calls the recommendations "another in a series of missteps by the board," that are simply too little, too late for parents and students.
He's already commissioned another panel to create a series of its own recommendations to ensure Common Core standards are properly implemented.
