It took less than a day for the state Board of Regents to reverse its call to delay some of the Common Core learning standards.
After Governor Andrew Cuomo released a statement blasting the board for their decision, the panel yesterday decided to change course.
Rather than implement the proposed changes, the recommendations are being put out for public comment.
Some of the proposals include putting off the Common Core's new English and math exam requirements until 2022, and providing protection to teachers whose jobs are threatened by low test scores.
