The end of the line for Scott Doll, at least on one argument.
According to Genesee County District Attorney Lawrence Friedman, the United States Supreme Court denied a petition to review and overturn Doll’s murder conviction. The county opposed the request.
The Corfu man convicted of murdering his former business partner Joseph Benaquist in 2010 is currently serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole until 2025.
Doll maintained he was not properly read his rights after he was found walking blood-soaked on Lake Road in Pembroke. Authorities countered that because it could have been a medical emergency with the blood, Miranda recitation was not required.
