A Batavia man pleads guilty to robbing the Westside branch of Five Star Bank in January.
29-year-old Gregory Beardsley pleaded guilty in Genesee County Court to a charge of third-degree robbery. The plea was made under the condition he receives no more than 66 months in state prison.
Beardsley admitted to robbing the bank on West Main Street. Police said he escaped with 3-thousand dollars and was taken into custody six minutes later on Rt. 98 in Attica. Beardsley, who was on parole at the time of his arrest, was originally charged with grand larceny and robbery.
A State Street woman has been charged with Menacing for allegedly brandishing a weapon and threatening to use it.
Batavia Police say 48-year-old Cheryl Lyons grabbed a stick and a knife and threatened another person while a child was nearby.
Police said the child was the target of the some of threats.
24 year old Melissa Pizazza of State Street has been charged with Reckless Endangerment in connection with the same incident

Dawn Nguyen is accused of buying an assault rifle and a shotgun Spengler used to kill two West Webster firefighters who responded to a fire he set on Christmas Eve 2012.
