A State Street woman has been charged with Menacing for allegedly brandishing a weapon and threatening to use it.
Batavia Police say 48-year-old Cheryl Lyons grabbed a stick and a knife and threatened another person while a child was nearby.
Police said the child was the target of the some of threats.
24-year-old Melissa Piazza of State Street has been charged with Reckless Endangerment in connection with the same incident.
A shoplifting complaint leads to the arrests of two cousins in LeRoy.
Police were called to a Village business for alleged shoplifting and arrested 22-year-old Jeffrey Kuyal of Churchville.
As he was being led out of the store by police, his 25-year-old cousin allegedly struck Kuyal. Police arrested Jazmin Kuyal of Lake Street, LeRoy, and said she combative and refused to get in the police vehicle.
Officers then found Jazmin had an outstanding warrant out of Orleans County.
Jazmin was charged with Harassment, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration. She was committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Jeffrey was issued an appearance ticket.
