Today is the deadline for state residents to apply for health insurance through the exchange.
Though the hard deadline has been extended to April 15, buyers must have at least started an application by midnight.
Officials say consumers should not delay and risk losing out on health coverage until the end of the year.
Almost 80,000 New Yorkers have signed up through the state marketplace since it launched in October. Over half have enrolled on Medicaid plans. Officials say 70 percent of enrollees had no health insurance at the time of their application.
