A Wind Advisory has been posted for all of Western New York until 7 tonight.
The National Weather Service forecasts winds from the south at 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts as high as 50 miles per hour.
Kirk Apffel with the national weather service says to enjoy the 70-degree weather today while you can because it’s going to change quickly this week.
“We’re going to have a strong cold front that’s going to come through the region and that is indeed going to drop temperatures,” he said. “By tomorrow morning we’re going to have temperatures that are in the lower 30s and really all day tomorrow during the afternoon hours we’re only looking at temperatures in the lower 30s and then dropping down into the upper teens and lower 20s by tomorrow night.”
That’s a 40-degree plunge in temperature from Monday to Tuesday.
