A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in the Town of Darien..
A 19 year old was killed last night when he was hit by an SUV while walking his bicycle along Genesee St.
Pronounced dead at the scene was Dean Cullinan of Corfu.
Deputies say Cullinan was walking his bike in the eastbound lane of Route 33 when he was hit by the westbound vehicle.
Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said it was difficult for the driver to see Cullinan. Dibble said there appeared to be no relectors or lights on the bicycle and Cullinan was wearing dark colored clothing.
The driver of the SUV was identified as 31 year old Kris Clark of Corfu. No charges were filed.
An Orleans County man is shot to death in Rochester, another is wounded.
49-year-old Ronald Stern of Holley died from an apparent gunshot wound in the parking lot of the Family Dollar on Genesee Street in Rochester
The second victim, 47-year-old Earl Cartwright of Kent, was treated and released for a gunshot wound to the lower body.
No arrests have been made.
An Albion teenager is hospitalized after his compact car collided with an 18-wheeler.
The accident happened yesterday morning at the intersection of Route 31 and Hulberton Road in the Town of Murray.
18-year-old Frank Kania IV was alone in his Ford Escort, failed to yield right of way, and crashed into the big rig.
The truck tipped over. The truck driver was not hurt.
Kania was taken to Strong Memorial.
