The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for all of Western New York.
It’s in effect from 2 Tuesday afternoon when scattered thunderstorms are expected to start up, through midnight.
It says the storms have the potential to produce torrential downpours with rainfall rates of one to two inches per hour.
As of noon Tuesday, the Tonawanda Creek in Batavia is only expected to crest at 2 1/2 feet Wednesday night.
