A woman is hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Byron Tuesday.

Deputies say a 1993 Chevy sedan driven by 45-year-old Renee Belknap of South Byron was heading south on Route 237 near Cockram Road.

They say Belknap left the lane for an undetermined reason and collided with a Ford delivery truck coming the opposite direction.

The driver of that car, 55-year-old Francisco Rosario of Albion, was uninjured.

Belknap’s vehicle collided partially under the box portion of the delivery truck and hit the rear axle. The collision caused the truck to strike a mailbox on Cockram Road.

Belknap was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight with a possible arm fracture.

Charges could be filed pending an investigation.
