There are a slew of traffic and road interruptions early next week in Genesee County.
In LeRoy, the Department of Transportation is beginning work on Route 5 from west of the village line to the Livingston County line beginning Monday.
In the area east of village, traffic will be reduced to a single alternating traffic pattern in each direction. Street parking in the business district is prohibited during the paving.
Crews will be preparing for road paving next week, which then begins the following week of the 28th.
DOT officials say the work should last three weeks. Officials say motorists should expect delays and allow extra time to travel. Access to residential and commercial driveways will be maintained throughout the project.
