The Batavia City Council on Monday night will be given a report critical of the city’s Examining Board of Plumbers.
The report, termed an "Internal Assessment of the City of Batavia Examining Board of Plumbers" concluded there have been numerous questionable actions with regard to the conduct of past boards and the Plumbing Inspectors.
The report, authored by City Manager Jason Molino, goes on to conclude, "the actions of the Plumbing Board and Plumbing Inspector have been collusive, self-serving and not in the best interests of the City of Batavia."
Molino writes that the actions of the board "deliberately abused the public trust and pursued self-interest for those involved."
