A pizza delivery man is facing charges for falsely reporting a murder to get out of being fired.
18 year old Mason Requa called police claiming he'd seen a murder in near Brockport Wednesday night.
Requa was able to describe the vehicle of the perpetrators, as well as details about the victim's clothing. He even told officers about the murder weapon.
Police and U.S. Border Patrol agents searched for four hours and only stopped after Requa confessed to making it up.
He said the hoax was created because he had been late for a delivery and was worried about losing his job with Mark’s Pizzeria.
Requa was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident.
A young Batavia man is behind bars facing charges of robbery and grand larceny.
18 year old Trashawn Bell, who police say claims to be homeless but claims to be from Batavia, has been arrested for robbing a 24 year old woman in Rochester earlier this week. Police say Bell, along with several other unidentified men, tackled the woman from behind, stole property from her and eventually took her car keys and car.
Bell is being held on $25,000 bail.

Deputies say 27 year old John Saddler of State Street kicked a jail cell door shattering the glass. It caused 25-hundred dollars damage.
