A LeRoy man is in jail on 10 thousand dollars bail after he was charged with an additional count after a second victim came forward. 37 year old Michael Stack Junior of the Randall Road in the Town of LeRoy was originally charged with A Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree stemming from an incident on July 23rd. Now another victim has come forward and alleged that on the same date, Stack allegedly forcibly raped that victim. He now has been charged with one count of Rape in the First Degree and is in the Genesee County jail.
A somewhat busy week-end at Darien Lake for Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies. Two concerts led to 25 persons being charged in one fashion or another. 6 at the Goo-Goo Dolls concert on Friday and 19 at the Zac Brown show on Saturday. None of the 25 is from Genesee County.
54 year old Nancy Sabourin of Tonawanda was arrested in the town of Darien on felony DWI charges. Deputies say the woman had two prior DWI convictions It’s alleged that Sabourin was arrested while at Darien Lake Theme Park, and operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state on a public roadway or access way.
44 year old Jared Long of Clinton Street Road in the Town of Byron has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies say he took his girlfriend’s car without permission. He’ll appear in Byron Town Court on September 11th.
A Batavia man, 34 year old Christopher Clark of Pearl Street, was arrested on a charge of Petit Larceny for stealing a knife from the Batavia Wal-Mart on Saturday. Sheriff’s Deputies say he took the knife to open other merchandise that he was planning to steal. Clark reportedly stole a package of drill bits from the store and then abandoned the drill bits under another person’s vehicle when police arrived in the parking lot.
Michele Case formally of Bergen has received five years’ probation after being convicted twice of stealing from Home Care & Hospice, Case was a nurse at the Batavia hospice.
Batavia police have arrested a woman on two charges of endangering the welfare of a child. 37 year old Lizbeth Cramer of Lewis Place in Batavia allegedly left her four and 15 year old children unattended. The four year old child according to police was left at Austin park for atleast one hour before police were notified.
A two-year-old dachshund named Brinkley stormed down the stretch of the Batavia Downs Race Track to win the championship final of the 2014 Genesee Feeds wiener dog races on Sunday afternoon at Batavia Downs Gaming. The official margin of victory was a half a (dog) length.
Brinkley is owned by Kristy Drabek. As a result Kristy get 100 dollars in free gaming play. Pablo Penders came in second and Ruby was third. In all about 70 dogs participated in the races.
34 year old Dashawn Butler of Walnut Street has been charged with harassment. Batavia police say Butler threatened harm to a victim at a residence on Walnut Street. He was arrested on Maple Street. He was given an appearance ticket.
